Uniswap Founder Twitter Account Attacked by Hackers

Hackers have recently compromised the Twitter account of the founder of Uniswap Labs – Hayden Adams. The decentralized exchange that operates on the Ethereum blockchain assured that it was not affected by the exploit.

The problem was solved several hours later, with Adams highlighting the efforts of those who helped.

  • Uniswap Labs disclosed that wrongdoers had compromised the Twitter account of its founder Hayden Adams, advising people to restrain from clicking on any links.

“There is no giveaway, airdrop, or bounty. The Protocol has not been hacked or exploited. We will let you know when the issue is resolved,” the organization clarified.

  • Adams tweeted approximately five hours after the attack that he had regained control of his account. He thanked everyone who put their effort into helping with warnings, takedowns, etc. In addition, he promised to reveal further details on the exploit “when ready.”
  • This is not the first time hackers have attacked the Twitter accounts of popular people. Wrongdoers targeted one of the biggest crypto critics – Peter Schiff – last month to promote a fake presale involving gold (his favorite investment instrument).
  • The popular music producer and DJ Steve Aoki also became a victim. Hackers compromised his Twitter account in May and conducted a phishing scam that led to the loss of around $170,000 worth of cryptocurrencies.
  • Circle’s CEO – Jeremy Allaire – and the Prime Minister of India – Narendra Modi – are other examples of individuals who have fallen prey to hackers in the recent past.
