Terra’s Do Kwon Claims He Is Not Hiding Again, Even After Interpol’s Red Notice

Do Kwon – the notorious Co-Founder of Terraform Labs – said he is “making zero effort to hide” from authorities.

His statement comes shortly after the organization that fights international crime – Interpol – issued a red notice on the South Korean developer.

Kwon Not Concerned

The crash of Terra’s native token – LUNA – and its algorithmic stablecoin – UST – still echoes in the cryptocurrency space. Investors who lost lots of funds insisted that someone should take responsibility for the catastrophe, and unsurprisingly they pointed their anger toward the Co-Founder of Terraform Labs – Do Kwon.

The 31-year-old developer left his homeland a while back, and his whereabouts are unknown. Still, some sources indicate that he might be residing in Singapore.

In July, South Korean prosecutors issued a notice upon his potential arrival, meaning that he must notify the relevant authorities when he returns to his homeland.

Earlier this week, the International Criminal Police Organization (simply known as Interpol) also took part in Kwon’s hunt. The entity issued a red notice for him, which requires law enforcement officers in other countries to cooperate and arrest the fugitive should they spot him.

Despite the massive chase, Kwon has repeatedly asserted that he’s not on the run. Moreover, he assured he has been in constant collaboration with global regulators to clear the issues around his name.

In a recent series of tweets, he reiterated his position, claiming people could see him visiting public places.

Logically, his statement caused significant controversy, and many Twitter users doubted his words. Some wondered how an individual that Interpol wants to catch could freely post on social media, while others hoped the drama would be over soon so Kwon could see the prison cell from the inside.

Numerous people asked him where he lives now, but the developer refused to answer, saying he had not used Twitter to invite guests.

Korean Authorities Freeze $67M in BTC

In the latest events coming on the South Korea-Kwon saga, Bloomberg reports claimed that the authorities had frozen over $65 million in bitcoin supposedly linked to the developer or any of his projects.

The prosecutors had requested KuCoin and OKX to suspend the funds as they supposedly came from wallets connected to the Luna Foundation Guard (LFG).
