Socios to launch fan token for major Ukrainian esports organization

Natus Vincere, a Ukrainian multi-game organization, has announced plans to launch a fan token on blockchain-based platform Socios.com.

According to a Nov. 4 announcement, the token will enable a number of new fan engagement opportunities including the right to vote in polls as well as the chance to earn unique rewards linked to the organization.

The maximum supply of fan tokens will be capped at five million coins, with a limited number of tokens available at a fixed price of $1. An initial flash sale is expected to take place in the coming months, Socios said. Following the flash sale, the price of Natus Vincere token will be determined by demand.

More widely known by its short name Navi, Natus Vincere first entered the esports arena in 2009 and has since evolved into a strong multigame organization. Navi specializes in major games like CS:GO, Dota 2, PUBG, Apex Legends, Fortnite, PUBG Mobile and Rainbow Six rosters. “Natus Vincere” means “born to win” in Latin.

Navi will become the third esports organization to join the Socios platform following European OG and the Spanish Team Heretics. Socios has also listed fan tokens for major sports clubs including FC Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

In August 2020, Socios CEO Alexandre Dreyfus announced that the firm was preparing to launch a Visa debit card for fan tokens.
