New meme crypto Sonik Coin (SONIK), which began its presale in mid-August, has now raised over $750,000 and ends in just five days time, or when its hard cap of $2.09 million is reached.

If its hard cap is met, SONIK will launch on Uniswap next week with an FDV of just over $4 million, as 50% of the token supply is allocated to the presale.

Similar meme coin with the light-hearted Sonic the Hedgehog theme HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu (Bitcoin) hit a $200 million market cap within 100 days of its Uniswap listing. At the time of writing, $BITCOIN has bounced after a correction to reclaim the $100 million market cap level.

Whether SONIK can replicate the success of meme coins like BITCOIN remains to be seen, however, its social media presence is steadily gaining traction across Twitter and Telegram, with a combined following of several thousand meme token fans.

One aspect that makes Sonik Coin stand out among meme coins is its staking rewards, with 40% of the total supply set aside for staking rewards – and the final 10% for its locked liquidity pool.

There are a total of 299,792,458,000 SONIK tokens, matching the speed of light in meters per second, Sonic’s rumored top speed.

The current annual percentage yield (APY) for staking SONIK is 91%. 26,369,818,681 tokens have so far been locked in staking, which equates to almost 18% of the circulating supply of SONIK at launch.

The SONIK presale is set to end Tuesday, September 5th, then hold its IDO on Uniswap DEX.
