John McAfee Admits His Cryptocurrency Fortune is Gone but He Regrets Nothing
After admitting that most people would probably not believe him, John McAfee asserted that his fortune is now gone. In the light of his court ruling in Spain, where he sits in prison for nearly a year, the former software tycoon explained that he has no funds hidden in cryptocurrencies.
McAfee: I Have Nothing
John McAfee is a polarizing figure that rarely goes unnoticed. It’s not really a surprise that he has sold the rights to his life-story documentary. He has also made quite the mark in the cryptocurrency market, which has come back to haunt him lately.
More specifically, the situation escalated earlier this year when the US Department of Justice brought official charges against McAfee and his executive advisor – Jimmy Watson Jr. The authorities alleged both with several different conspiracies to commit frauds for blatant “pump and dump” schemesand even money laundering.
The McAfee antivirus founder called the allegations “overblown” initially and has further asserted that he has none of those funds left. He reiterated his stance recently, indicating that all of his cryptocurrency fortune has “dissolved through the many hands of Team McAfee.”
Furthermore, his remaining assets “are all seized.” Despite realizing he has “nothing,” he also admitted that he regrets “nothing.”

Charges Are Political
As mentioned above, McAfee currently resides in a Spanish prison, and he had a hearing this week in Madrid.
He believes he has become a victim of politically motivated accusations because of his attempts to run as a Libertarian Party candidate in the US presidential elections:
“In late 2018, I announced I would run again, and I also announced I would target the IRS and its corruption, and two months later, the IRS filed charges against me.”
Although McAfee argued that given his age, he might spend the rest of his life in prison, the Spanish prosecutor, Carlos Bautista, dismissed his claims of political motivations.
He called McAfee a “tax rebel, nothing else. A millionaire that doesn’t want to pay taxes.”
